John Hamilton, CPA
Partner, COO

John has been with Online Taxman since the beginning and serves as partner and COO. He is experienced in individual and small business taxation, holistic financial planning, as well as pensions and investments.

John is a CPA in the State of Illinois. Prior to joining Online Taxman, he spent his early career working in financial services, creating needs based financial plans for individuals and built his own tax practice as a sole proprietor in the Chicagoland area. John also spent time as a client finance manager at Accretive Health and was a financial consultant at Huron Consulting Group, consulting on litigation matters for Fortune 500 companies. John holds a Master of Science in Accounting from Boston College and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan.

John started his expat life in Australia and subsequently lived in Spain, Argentina, and Colombia. He now calls Rio de Janeiro home. John is fluent in Spanish and and is currently learning Portuguese.

Vincenzo Villamena, CPA
Founder, CEO

Vincenzo is the founder and CEO of Online Taxman. He has extensive experience in both tax preparation and advising clients in accounting and financial transactions.

At Online Taxman, Vincenzo oversees corporate and individual filings. He specializes in offshore structuring for US entrepreneurs abroad and US real estate transactions by foreign nationals and funds.

Before founding Online Taxman, Vincenzo served as partner in 4 Corners Inc., focusing on individuals and businesses for accounting and tax preparation matters as well as advising high net worth individuals in private equity investing.

Vincenzo also has “Big 4” audit and corporate accounting experience during his time with PricewaterhouseCoopers, involved in Fortune 100 audit engagements and M&A transactions, giving him the knowledge to perform analysis in valuation, corporate finance, and technical accounting issues.

He has both a Masters of Accounting and Bachelors of Business Administration with distinction from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M Ross School of Business.

Vincenzo loves to travel and is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. Vincenzo currently lives in Medellin, Colombia, the location of our newest office.

Kyle Brown
CTO

Kyle serves in an advisory role as CTO.. He helped starting Online Taxman and continues to advise on technology and IT aspects.

Kyle holds a M.S. in Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. He has 15 years experience designing and delivering complex applications ranging from e-commerce to defense systems.

He is based on the US East Coast but, like other team members, traveled extensively across Europe and South America.

Viktor Krig

Viktor has been with Online Taxman since 2013, where he mainly focuses on corporate formations and US expat taxes. Thanks to his fluency in Spanish and Swedish, Viktor has been working with many of our Latin American investors and entrepreneurs to incorporate and structure companies in the US to meet their international business needs, and with US clients located in Spain and Scandinavia.

Viktor has been living abroad since studying Business Management and Accounting at Universidad de la Empresa, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and EAFIT in Medellín, Colombia. He also lived in Barcelona, Spain, and now calls Medellin home.

George Varimezov

George specializes on the fast-paced small business community, handling business tax filings as well as owners’ and entrepreneurs’ individual tax returns. He brings particular expertise in supporting Web-based businesses and real estate concerns.

A native of Bulgaria, George also has considerable experience with U.S. immigration issues and associated tax implications.

Previously, he worked in the corporate accounting department at Motorola where he oversaw financial reporting and tax preparation for the firm’s mobile division of Eastern Europe.

George is located in New York City.

Ruth Vahle

Ruth joined Online Taxman in 2016 to head up Marketing. She is also involved in improving overall business processes and client satisfaction.

After a corporate career in strategy, portfolio and project management, most recent as Director Strategy & Innovation at a large global medical technologies company, Ruth shifted her focus to help smaller businesses with strategic positioning, online presence and marketing.

She has lived in Europe, the US, Asia, and now has a home base Medellin, Colombia. Ruth speaks English, German, Spanish and a little Mandarin.

Ross Lustman, JD, CPA, EA

Ross joined Online Taxman after more than five years of working exclusively in US expat taxation in boutique accounting firms. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from the University of New Hampshire, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida, and a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law. He holds a law license, a CPA license, and an active Enrolled Agent license.

Ross lives full time in Costa Rica, but travels throughout Central and South America.

Kevin (Gaurav) Daswani, CA

Kevin joined Online Taxman after more than seven years of experience in US taxation & accounts. He worked exclusively in US expat taxation for more than three years of his professional career, and as a financial controller for US clients for couple of years. He is a Chartered Accountant (equivalent to CPA) and also holds a Master of Commerce degree from Gujarat University.

Kevin loves to travel, speaks English and Hindi, and currently lives in India.

Aaron Scott, EA

Aaron is an IRS Enrolled Agent with over 7 years of expatriate tax exposure. He began his career working for Ernst & Young in Houston, Texas. In 2009 he relocated to Paris, France, where he practiced international taxation. Living abroad gave him unique insight to the complex tax circumstances that expats encounter to meet their US tax filing requirements, such as Foreign Account Reporting, Streamlined Foreign Offshore procedures, and Expatriation.

Born and raised in New Orleans (the city of hospitality), Aaron takes pride in providing excellent customer service and client satisfaction.

Currently living between Paris and Medellin, Aaron speaks, English, French and is studying Spanish.
